As a member of the National Trust you'll enjoy free entry to over 25 properties in Wales and more than 300 across the whole of the UK. Visit the massive Victorian pile of Penrhyn Castle near Bangor and wonder at the immense wealth of the Welsh slate barons; admire the great Whistler mural at Plas Newydd on the Isle of Anglesey; marvel at the oppulent furniture and superb collections housed at Chirk Castle and Erddig, and wander the castle and gardens at Powis in Welshpool or Llanerchaeron in Aberaeron And that's just north and mid Wales.
In south Wales there's Aberdulais Falls, Neath, Colby Woodland Gardens near Tenby, and Tenby Merchant's House. There's Dinefwr Park and Newton House at Llandielo and Dolaucothi Gold Mine at Pumpsaint where you can even do a bit of gold-panning.
